The icy shower after a sweltering run. The beach bag already packed and in the car for the early morning trip to Grayton. PORT ST. JOE for scallops. Sangria. Visiting friends and family. Cold Shrimp Salad.
The four tell-tale tans: Runners tan (pale ankles and feet), Keen Sandals tan (striped feet), Kayak Tan (legs tan in front and pale on the backs), Grayton Tan (burned every place that was not underwater or protected by sunglasses).

Love Sangria, do you make your own, or do any restaurants have a great Sangria locally.

I make my own! I know many restaurants serve it but have not yet done any in-depth research to find out if I like any of them or not. Might have to do some taste testing.

I had really good sangria at Carrabas

Thanks will have to try them as we have one here in Memphis too. We used to get fabulous Sangria at our local El Chico, but they went out of business.

Luckily my nephew was the bartender and I have the recipe.

Pool parties with friends and family.

Counting down to my trip to the beach, living the life at the beach for 2 weeks then returning home to start planning my return trip to the beach!

Bare feet on almost-too-hot asphalt; being sweaty and tan; salt-air breeze and crystal-clear emerald waters; icy-cold, ripe water melon (real, not seedless); kids' laughter; a superior Margarita, or a well-timed Corona..... with salt; an all-day rain; wildflowers; hurricane evacuations; water......
