I haven't been following this race. Just saw this ad without any context. It made quite the first impression on me of the ad and as such- of the candidate and his campaign.

Just curious if it is just me. Watch and tell me what u think. I'll share my thoughts in a bit...

Medicare and medicaid fraud and violation of the Stark Act. Check it out. It boggles my mind that someone like him has the nerve to show his face in public, let alone run for office.

If you vote Republican, it's between him and McCollum. Party affiliation aside, I wish I felt comfortable with ANY of the candidates for Governor.

But really, that's nothing new. I only became a Crist fan last Friday.

In all fairness, though I am not a supporter, I will give him credit for attempting to be truthful about a horrible situation. It beats the hell out of those who creat fraud, lie to the public and indirectly mislead on issues. I agree that he probably should not be running as his chances are nil but I certainly admire his gutsy attitude. BTW, there is more than enough Medicare and Medicaid fraud to go around.

Andy with due respect, there are a lot of middle/upper management of HCA that would disagree with his truthfulness. He was lucky period. Truthfulness wasn't in his vocabulary back then, until he was questioned by the feds.....

His style of "truth" makes him a perfect politician.

I wish candidates couldn't run ads for political races. So many people will use an ad to try and win votes and set a tone for who they truly are. Perhaps a track record, resume and debates should be all that is allowed to base our decisions.

I don't think that will really work. While I understand what you are saying, I learn a lot from the ads as stupid and irresponsible as some of them are. That, in itself, is often revealing as to what kind of representation you will receive from a candidate if he/she is elected. I think most citizens are intelligent enough to interpret what is proposed to them successfully.
