Fair enough, but defend her by responding directly to the points adduced, not by deflecting the argument by saying, oh that reminds me of Obama's shortcomings which are much worse.

Lester Maddox's entry into the GA gubernatorial race was a source of great derision amongst my college buddies. Lester Maddox! the pick axe-wielding, hate-spewing, backward-bicycle-riding owner of the Pickwick Cafeteria--thinks he can become governor of GA--ha, ha, ha, that's a good one. The voters would never elect such a clown. Well, Lester did become Governor and was laughable in the role. Maybe if enough folks had pointed out his laugh-ability quotient beforehand, the course of history might have been changed.

Can you see any current parallel to my Lester Maddox anecdote?
(Hint: it involves a woman who shoots wolves from a helicopter; who claims she's a Mama Grizzly protecting her cubs while not knowing what's going on with them; who compares herself w/ God & with Shakespeare; who didn't know that Africa was a continent; who is endorsing several Tea Party candidates; who is poorly educated, poorly informed & hypocritical.)

Again...there are plenty of threads on SoWal & other forums that deal with Obama, his background, his policies...etc. You & I contribute to those threads.

Again,...this specific thread is about Sarah Palin & adduces evidence that she is poorly educated, poorly informed, hypocritical, narrow in her views, wrong-headed in her policies...etc.

When there is a post about Sarah Palin, you say, oh, that reminds me of several things about Barack Obama. That is called changing the subject. Your points about Barack Obama might remind me of several things about Jesus Christ.

If you want to respond to--or "refudiate"-- the points about Ms. Palin, please respond to those points directly.

.....all I have read on this thread are Palin put downs, insults and character blasting.. she is a magnet doll sold in a hippy store, she and her family are media whores, she has a future SIL that shows his stuff, she left her Governor's job after 2 and half years, she likes yellow teapot gowns, she's stupid etc. You show me in this specific thread all those posts that prove your evidence listing qualifications for this thread and its original purpose...and I will not post again in this thread again and you guys can continue on with your deep investigation of Sarah (bashing) with no interruptions by me and no Obama reminders popping up. How's that?

Are these things not true? I had understood all of these things to be factual, thereby eliminating them from your list of "insults and character blasting". As to the other items, "media whore" is a phrase used generally to describe people who are consistently putting themselves into unnecessary spotlight (which is a matter of opinion, but could certainly apply to the Palin family) and after a (brief) review of the thread, I couldn't find a single instance of anyone out and out calling Sarah Palin "stupid".



Oh, and for the love of goodness, I'm okay with reading your (somewhat defensive and overzealous) posts, but could you please refrain from bolding and italicizing everything you type? Thanks!

You've done it again: instead of defending Ms. Palin based on the data/info adduced in this thread, you now say "show me the evidence that Palin is what you say she is." That is, again, you haven't defended Palin, you've simply diverted the argument.

The very first post in this thread was a link to her Mama Grizzly political ad in which she says "Moms just kinda know when something's wrong". She didn't know where her cub was when she got pregnant; she didn't know her cub was gettin' back w/ ole Levi. It's hypocritical of her to claim she just kinda knows about her cubs when she's completely in the dark about their activities.

My post today that initiated our back-&-forth was that she originally tweeted that Muslims should "refute" the mosque at Ground Zero. She shows a lack of education by using the wrong word & then changes it to "refudiate," which isn't a word at all, and then compares herself to Shakespeare for making up a word. She is poorly educated & ill informed. It's sorta like using the term "honing in" when you mean "homing in".

These two examples are representative of all add'l info/data adduced in this thread which you obviously failed to read or appreciate.
