I'm not sure why you find his post so objectionable unless maybe you looked at it as an attack on Andy A. I didn't see it that way. I looked at it as more of an accurate assessment of Glenn Beck's ineptitude and divisiveness. I don't think that should get anybody banned.

Truth be told I probably started the nastiness because I overreacted to what I thought were snarky posts from Andy and Zip that after several reads seem very innocent.

But I still call BS on the reclaiming civil rights and restoring honor themes of Beck's religious revival.

Truth be told we all have our moments. Cooler heads usually prevail. I really don't see why anyone gets so worked up by Beck. He is an entertainer, no more, no less. Frankly I don't see how you can call someone who made 32 million in a year "inept" but what do I know.

I think he's inept at producing cogent thought. That's all I'm concerned with when making such an assessment. As for his monetary success, I refer you to P.T. Barnum's most famous quote.

As to Glenn Beck, he is an entertainer, who I do not find entertaining. Those that do find him entertaining or enlightening, showed up.

He is not a factor in my daily thought process.

Bill Maher is an idiot. Actually, his background compares rather well with Becks. I find it ironic you're quoting his twitters in a Beck bashing thread, as if he were capable of thinking on some higher plateau.

It was supposed to be an event to reclaim civil rights. Then it was billed as one to restore honor. And from what I'm reading it played more like a religious revival under the guise of saluting our troops.

Questions for folks who get Beck and his big event today-

From exactly whom is his movement reclaiming civil rights (and for whom). And who exactly became or made the country dishonorable and who exactly would be restoring honor- when and how?

I'm not in attack mode- just looking to be informed so pls take your sharp teeth out and dumb this down for me- cuz I'm not in synch with what tens of thousands and many more who didn't attend evidently understand.

Americans gathered in Washington it just wasn't about BECK...it was about all Americans...no dumbing down needed...just need an Open Mind.
