Thanks everyone, I took my computer so I had time to read your suggestions after we got to the hotel, but just now got home and had time to post.
We went to Cochon,

The lemon-buttermilk pie was delicious.

Also ate at Superior Grill, had wonderful fajitas and fabulous margaritas. Fun place and walking distance to where we stayed. I was sad to see that after 26 years Cannon's Restaurant on St. Charles had closed.
The pregame show was just the best fun ever. Dave Matthews Band played over an hour just for the fans, before the NBC pregame show. He said if his fans were willing to be there 5 hours before the show to practice, the least he could do was sing for them. It was fantastic.
On Wednesday I had to go to the parking lot and wait in line to pick up my wristband for my free admission to Jackson Square. Needless to save standing in line in a hot parking lot at Mardi Gras World was not the highlight, but the next day it was so worth it.
My daughter was lucky enough to have been picked by the casting company to be part of the street crowd you could see on TV. The rest of us were in the park which had been closed off for the event.
While at Mardi Gras World, we went on the tour, something in all our trips to NOLA I have never done and so glad we did. During the Pregame show for those that missed it they had the first ever NFL Football Krewe parade and the floats were still at Mardi Gras World on Wed. so we got to see them up close. We were excited to see Deuce McAllister on one of the floats during the parade.
It was a memorable two days. For the casted audience, they gave each person a couple of raffle tickets and at the end of the Pregame Show they drew tickets, my daughter won a Sean Payton autographed mini helmet.
She also got a Dave Matthews guitar pick so she was beyond excited with both.
I have been going to NOLA often in 30 years and I am always amazed by something new and exciting, there simply is no place like it.
The Who Dat Nation was alive and strong.
