Today is Come and Take It Day. This day is here for the taking. Grab it. Take it and run with it. We're sure it's going to be a great day.

There is a slight difference between the terms "come and get it" and "come and take it". The first suggests an offer by someone, and therefore, approval to have whatever "it" is.

We're not sure what you have been looking for. But, today is the day to reach out for it...... to take it. Use your imagination. But if the taking involves another person in any way shape or form, get their okay before you take it.


Origin of Come and Take It Day:
The town of Gonzales, Texas holds a Come & Take It Festival each year. It commemorates the firing of the first shot of the Texas revolution on Oct. 2, 1835, which took place near Gonzales.
Some people also believe that this day originated from a of a movie of the same name in 2001. We believe this is coincidental
Come and Take It Day is catchy name for a special day, and sure sounds like a fun day.

I didn't see this yesterday! But I likey!

We did "come and take it" yesterday when we went to Publix to get the $10 special: 8 piece fried chicken with 2 sides, pack of rolls and gallon of tea. then we took it to Camp Helen State Park for a picnic dinner, then a long stroll out onto the gorgeous beach where we came and took in a most beautiful sunset!
