I am a Republican but I certainly do not agree with every act of every other Republican. IMHO all of this discussion about certificates and transcripts is plain stupid on the Republicans part and an attempt to divert attention from the real issues on the Democrats part. The man was elected, so what grade he made in pre-algebra is irrelevant. Maybe it was relevant before the 2008 election, but not now. What is very relevant are the policies he has implemented that are continuing to drive our country towards bankruptcy. I wish Trump would either get a grip on reality or crawl back under his hair.
Yes.

Re the new "birthers," i.e., the "transcripters":

I remember that at one point, somehow, Sam Donelson had obtained Colin Powell's college transcript from The City College of New York.
I remember in a face-to-face interview, Donelson said something like, "Well, well, Colin Powell--C student at the City College of New York. Became Chaiman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff & then Secretary of State. What do you have to say about that?"
General (Secretary) Powell responded: "It's a great country, Sam."

I'll admit that I'm not a big fan of affirmative action, but once someone achieves to the level of Obama or Powell, it's irrelevant IMHO.

Many minorities are offended because people assume that if they achieve anything it was due to affirmative action.

Many do not "check the box" because they want to be judged on their merits, not their color. And the end result is the same.

P.S. I got a C once, I'm still still smarter than 95% of the people questioning elected officials based on their grades. And the C wasn't in math, which is why I am statistically sure most of them couldn't have managed a C in that class.

Well, I got all A's except for one class in grad school at the Univ. of SC where the final was a group project. We had to build an operating system in C++ (that none of us knew prior to taking the class). It was a six-week summer class. We all completed our modules except for one member of our team. There was just not enough time to cover his butt. My education was funded by an NSF grant for people who had a Ph.D. in an area related to computer science. We were all professors at colleges in South Carolina. If I had suspected that he wouldn't finish his module, I would have done it myself. But by the time the team realized that he had failed, there just was not enough time. My module got an A, but I got a B in the course because that jerk didn't do his part.

I don't mean to be racist, but he was the only Indian in the class. All of the other Indians had been kicked out of the NSF program for cheating. Same thing happened in grad school at UF. The Indians cheated like crazy, and they got kicked out. I should have known.

Just think where you'd be now if it weren't for that.

I might not have been offered a position as associate professor at Auburn University. I might not have become department chair at the institution at which I teach. You are right -- it didn't affect my career in the long run, but I still despise the fact that my only B was due to a cheater.

With your post being my only source on this subject I suspect the B was for not working as a team.:dunno:
