This is incredibly stupid. We spent years getting laws and regulations to stop this sort of thing.

Why don't we we just empty their toilets into the bay too!

Very important meeting this afternoon. If you want to speak up on behalf of our estuary, please be there! I am assuming this is being held at the same building where the tax collector office is? Could someone confirm?

If you are speaking of the BCC meeting, yes it is in the same building as the tax collector's office. The South Walton Courthouse annex.

Bump. Meeting in a little over an hour. This isn't about Scott, Obama, Reds/Blues, Tea Parties or Weiners. This is about our bay, one of the reasons we are so lucky to live here. Our elected officials are actually contemplating sanctioned bay degradation. It is ridiculous. Please show up and let your voice be heard!

Nobody spoke out for the bay! Lots of mistruths and politics. I was cut off by ceclia jones before I could finish presenting the facts. When they took a break after the Driftwood testimony, there was a loud sound of integrity shattering when the three commissioners left the room. I tried to present them with sworn court testimony from the designing engineer, but in the end, I was cut off and since they said they had no CLEAR evidence presented, they would issue permits for the interior of Driftwood Estates. They also said we have never had a moritorium in driftwood estates, please check the minutes, that is just one more lie. I guess when your the County and you accept a $160,000 payment from the developer you just have to do what's in the BCC's best intrest and "to hell" with what's good for the people and their enviornment. I am ashamed of the conduct of some of those who call themselves servants of the people.

Which three?

I have to disagree. Check out this link Rita posted in the Current Events forum. It's top down, or as above so below, or however you want to say it. With the current mood in the country and the economic difficulties, the county is betting nobody is is going to show up to say no, sorry, you can't do that. And they are probably right.
