What is your dream job?

Ok, so I'm going through a life change (no, not menopause) and from what I can remember I've never had a "dream job". So I'm curious - what is your dream job? What would it take for you to get your dream job? Or are you currently working your dream job?

take exactly what interests you in your free hours...that which you know a great deal about...and work a business model around that interest.

My dream job would be being a rock star. That fantasy is long gone. My second choice is what I do -- being a college professor. I work 26 weeks a year and have my mind engaged for 26 weeks a year, not necessarily two sets that totally intersect.

Well, when I realized I couldn't be a Beatle, I tried to carry on as best I could...Bob's advice is good, but I couldn't quite build a marketing model around drinking beer, smoking pot, and hanging out at the beach. I fell into home building because it sorted suited my life-style. While grueling at times, there are great moments of satisfaction. I can drive down the road and see things I have accomplished. I can have visions of something I want to make, and then just go out and make it. I bet Paul McCartney wishes he could do that...

I would be a gun shop owner so I could help law abiding citizens purchase hunting and home defense items.

I'm passionate about the idea of retirement. In fact, I think it's my calling. It's a paradigm shift based on the Mind Your Own business model. I look at it as a growth opportunity, and I'm willing to ramp up when the time comes. Until then I'll fake it til I make it. It's not what you know, it's who you know. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities and intend to stretch my goals with a motivated positive mental attitude and purpose-driven outlook. At the end of the day, it is sure to be a win-win situation. I'm data-driven, and intend to wrap my head around this idea. Call me a visionary who thinks outside the box.

The only thing I ever remember wanting to do is a family and the chaos that goes along with kids and I have that, but the income I bring in by being a wife & mom isn't anywhere on the pay scale.

I have several things I like to do or that I'm passionate about, not real sure I would make money on them, but it may be fun to try at some point.
