I have insurance for me and my husband through my employer. The premiums haven't gone up, but since October 1 the insurance company is denying any amount over what Medicare would pay. One claim from last December was $4000. They refused to pay any of it. This never happened before October 1. My employer provides a lawyer to contest "balance bills." It still hasn't been taken care of.

I am paying for a policy under ACA because I run a small business. I am in the minority in that ACA gave my family access to better insurgence than we had prior to. The plan I chose is expensive (more than $700 per month), but because of my child's précis ting condition prior to ACA, the cost for us would even higher if we could get insurance at all. I realize this is not the case for everyone.

I'm happy to hear you and yours are being helped...you are willing to kick into the pot and that's a good thing
