You know I am a Bill Clinton fan. But the housing crisis was directly related to I believe 1996 legislation that was introduced by the president in order to provide affordable housing.

Not so much affordable housing...more simple mortgage application. That way even those who couldn't "afford" a home were given mortgages.
But hey, as long as the Libs are screaming "we will help more Americans own their own home"...what does it matter that it destroys the housing market for a decade. And then, to add insult to injury...lets pass the Dodd-Frank regulations, a FUBAR knee jerk to the mess they created in the 1st place. That has made the process near unbearable for those who ARE qualified.

Praise the lord, Lars now shows some understanding about how government works, and the dysfunctionality of Congress! But the subject matter is "worst president", and Bush is up there in the rankings. The Iraq War, which has gone well over 3 Trillion Dollars, and paid for entirely by borrowed money, was his idea, because he was so weak-minded he couldn't comprehend the debacle Cheney was serving him. The mortgaged-backed securities bubble certainly wasn't started by Bush, but nothing he did in his eight years showed he understood what was happening, so I grade him inept, indifferent, and ignorant on that part. Anybody keeping score?
