Did you see this? Oh my!!! And she is calling it all LIES on Facebook and some actually believe her. Well shall I set the stage with facts? Public records request, anyone can submit a request. The facts are, Ms Brannon did fly 1st class the city clerk provided the receipt. Ms Brannon did have her daughter hired and now all records are missing except the payroll documentation. Request for pay and benefits received in 8 years was provided, again public record. Ms Brannon did vote to spend taxpayer money on projects nit budgeted, and even outside of the Freeport city limits.
And it is 100% truth and documented that Ms Brannon filed false charges and personally attacked another council member which resulted in thousands of dollars spent by the city.
All of this is available and be provided by the city clerk.
So while she professes to move Freeport forward all she really does is bring negativity and more lies!
Next time you see her ask her to provide the details of the platform she stands on. Good luck because she will not be able to, because those are not truth either. For example, the solar? What does run? Nothing! Great savings Ms Brannon, another failure in which you brag on. Good job!
Feel free to prove this wrong.....

Here's the TRUTH:
Elizabeth Brannon sought the State Attorney's opinion about McLean writing, signing, endorsing and then voting to approve checks that she wrote to her husband totaling over 17,000k. Mclean even deposited them in her joint account with her husband.

Actually the truth according to the city and states attorney state that there was NO wrong doing, no ethical issues, and that McLean was performing duties required by her at the time. Let's also keep in mind that ALL council members voted to approve those payments that were lightning damage. Joint account? Not true. Also the city received the reimbursement of those costs through the insurance claim. All documentation, correspondence, and supenas were provided and again NO wrong doing found. Nice try but another failure for Brannon. Who is going to argue with the states attorney? Again all documents are available.

Look I have no dog in this hunt but do like reading. The second to last sentence may bring out many people who will be happy to argue with the State Attorney. Have a good day.

I didn't think the State's Attorney determined ethical issues. I have been told an ethics complaint is ready to be filed against Ms. McLean but must wait til after the election due to state law. I also am confused why a resident from Chipley would pay to have this information printed against Ms. Brannon. I wonder who she use to work with. Checking out those past relationships have been very eye opening.

The state attorney historically offers opinions that protect elected officials. That does not mean his opinions are legitimate but it does insure that if this County continues to re-cycle the garbage, you are going to get more of the same.

Obviously his opinions were not correct when a Grand Jury was convened in Walton County to address issues in the planning department! Larry Jones and Cindy Meadows were exonerated from the Grand Jury findings.

I don't know who told you that the complaint could only be filed after the election but that's not true. A citizen can file an ethics complaint anytime against any elected official who is thought to have violated State Statue/Law. It's not a citizens place to prove or disprove the complaint. That's the job of the Ethics Commission.
