I have gotten 3 Moderna shots which included the booster.
My daughter-in-laws father died from Covid. 2 of my 4 grand children currently have Covid.
If you haven't been vaccinated at least make out a will .
Lately I talked with a 91 YO friend of mine who hadn't been vaccinated . She is now vaccinated after consulting with her doctor.
If you have plans to not be vaccinated please update you will, or make one as it has really been a hassle for my son & daughter-in law.
Or a least wear a mask as I do to help protect myself from variants.
Which could help protect someone for your stupidity.

Where did you get a Moderna booster? Do not believe they have been approved.

They are not yet formally approved by the FDA, but are readily available, on a walk-in basis, at Publix Pharmacy and Winn Dixie Pharmacy. I was going to ponder my options, but since my wife got her booster, I just jumped right in, too. And I still wear a mask in all stores I walk into. We dine out, occasionally, but only outside.

Thanks, I have again learned something from you. You were the one who let me know there were limited shots available in DeFuniak Springs back in Feb.

CVS.
However it was in Tennessee.
Left Fla. in July due to the virus & shut my business down ( Hurricane Shutters) due to the virus. However with Booster + the other 2 Shots & wearing a mask + using hand sanitizer I feel I do not have much to worry about.
Also in my teens I worked in a nursing home & had to be careful about germs due to the clients.
I had another test for Covid last week & am clean.
So I will be in Walton county + Bay due to service calls & sales.

The list for those eligible for a booster at this time include solid organ transplant recipients and those with conditions that give them an equally reduced ability to fight infections and other diseases. A third dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines may increase protection in this vulnerable population, according to data the FDA evaluated.

President Biden’s administration has also recommended that all Americans should receive a third dose of their Pfizer or Moderna vaccine eight months after their second dose, starting as soon as Sept. 20. This recommendation, however, is dependent on the FDA ruling that boosters are safe and effective, a determination that is expected in coming weeks.

I rarely post here. However, the stupid is so strong with this one, I can’t help but comment. Roe v. Wade is about a woman’s right to PRIVACY. As in she has the right to privately confer with whom she decides about a non-infectious medical condition, and then has the right to privately and legally carry out treatment for said condition. Pro-choice is a misnomer, it should be pro-privacy.

To equate a non-infectious condition with a highly infectious and deadly disease is apples and oranges. You’re arguing that you have the right to publicly infect innocent people with whom you haven’t obtained the advice and consent to do so.
Forget about it. They will never understand that pregnancy is a medical condition for which the rights of the woman come first. They will never understand that bringing a baby to term can cause serious bodily injury. They will never see the situation through the eyes of the 45 year old woman whose birth control failed, a woman at an age when pregnancy is especially risky. It could be someone whose earlier pregnancies left her seriously damaged, and another childbirth might be a fate worse than death. And yes, comparing an infectious medical condition capable of causing cognitive decline among other things to pregnancy, is a sure sign of cognitive deficit. It takes a full brain to understand these things, and people who present this argument don't have half of one.

I do not find it helpful to try to lump the Covid vaccine issues with the abortion issues. I can’t quite place the issues in a Venn diagram, but the overarching theme is that the radical right will try to force policies, no matter how absurd and unconstitutional to appease the only voting block they still hold sway over: the willfully uninformed. It’s not really policy. It’s Pandering 5.0.
