I have not had Covid or any of it's mutations. How about you? Viruses mutate. Build immunity to the virus and stop the mutation. In a pandemic where large groups of people are infected it becomes more about herd immunity than individual immunity. Vaccines help tremendously but we need more people with immunity than what vaccines can do because of our world wide distrust of the system AND lack of infrastructure to vaccinate everyone on the planet. I believe the system works but many people do not and the virus mutates faster than we can build infrastructure. We can build immunity with Omicron because the risk is less than the benefit. My advice is to return to normal activities, wear mask in crowded spaces, get the vaccine, socially distance when possible and stop being so political about every thing. The more that it's transmitted, the more it will mutate. If no one catches it, it won't mutate. You treat catching Omicron as a rite of passage. How long have you had it?
When this virus is over I want us all to celebrate...together again once again
No, I haven't caught the virus, unless I caught the most asymptomatic case known to mankind. I had one minor cold in the summer, but I don't think it was COVID related. And I hope that "political" comment wasn't aimed at me, at least with respect to COVID. I'm sure I get political, very deliberately, about other issues, but not COVID.I have not had Covid or any of it's mutations. How about you? Viruses mutate. Good to hear. Unfortunately we are all politicized regarding every issue these days including Covid. We can thank Donald Trump for a lot of this but not all. When I am talking to a trump supporter I find that both sides (yes me included) eventually gets dumber and dumber. I give a fact they give an alternative fact. It never ends well. I find myself having to defend the Biden administration more and more because of inflation which is real but also so many other false narratives. The bottom line is our politics is out of control and it is affecting our behaviors. We can't really have discussions about anything without having to defend or attack. All discussions lead to socialism/progressive vs capitalism/conservative. Covid related issues are no different in my realities with people. The more we attack the more we defend and the more divided we become. This is an election year and very very important for our Democracy. I believe we better stop talking politics and find ways to relate to each otherwise it will lead to outrageous behaviors. We are not going to shame people to do what is right about anything including getting the vaccine. I realize this forum is a way to vent a lot of frustration but those frustrations will not save our Democracy. WE THE PEOPLE can save our Democracy. It is OUR responsibility to at the very least not make this divide any worse than it already is. When is the last time you shook someone's hand? It is time for us to introduce the hand shake greeting back into our social diet. If it gives you or me Omicron the science says we will be okay. Of course there is risk but the benefits are growing by the day and our Democracy needs us to relate to each other...now before it is too late! No, I haven't caught the virus, unless I caught the most asymptomatic case known to mankind. I agree. It’s not about being political it’s more about being patriotic as the judge in the above case stated,No, I haven't caught the virus, unless I caught the most asymptomatic case known to mankind. Somehow you both have your heads buried in the sand. Ya'll need to get out and listen to your neighbors. Maybe stop talking and complaining and do something constructive.I agree. It’s not about being political it’s more about being patriotic as the judge in the above case stated,
“Whether uninformed and irrational or selfish and unpatriotic, no citizen is excused from considering their obligation to the health and well-being of their community. Else, the health, welfare, and safety of society would be subordinated to a substantial minority.”
