Do you support DeSantis's abuse of power in our education system? I assume we agree on abuse of power right? Your answers may explain.I am 100% for getting rid of all loopholes. A flat tax is the only 'fair' way to do it. Any other way someone is getting hosed and its usually the middle
To your second point, why do you respond like this? Who said I'm against spending money on education? or that I think its OK to bail out corporations? I am 100% against corporate bailouts, I think business's need to run on their own steam. If they fail a better version will always take their place. I have no issue with paying for education but I do have an issue with paying for individual loans that other people took out with taxpayer funds
We agree on your third point
On your forth point just google Presidio, it is a pet project of Nancy Pelosi
My father was a contractor in AC when Trump declared bankruptcy but he made it out better then most. I can tell you there are 2 sides to this coin as well. Let me know if you want me to expand.
To your sixth point, short answer NO. Women still have all of the same rights depending on the states they live in. They may need to drive across state lies to get an abortion. Do you agree that the SCOTUS made their ruling in line with the constitution? It seems pretty black and white to me. We can always amend the constitution but that is what would have to be done.
Yes the government is larger but I hope you get my point that fiscal responsibility is fiscal responsibility. We agree on transparency
Yes, withholding the aid was not within his powers to do so. It was approved by Congress, approved by everybody including Department of State, and Department of Defense. The only reason he wasn’t convicted was that the GQP senators were spineless. Maybe spineless doesn’t quite work. Corrupt is more like it. The corruption of the Trump administration will be legendary in years to come.Lets get specific, are you talking about withholding aide or are you talking about a quid pro quo?
The 10th amendment is very clear on this one. In the 14th amendment it was a reach. The MAGA SCOTUS reinterpreted the 14th Amendment, which for decades guaranteed a woman the privacy to make personal decisions regarding bodily autonomy. The rights of the individual were turned over to the states where they absolutely do not belong.
Now you are in my wheelhouse, if America moved to a flat tax there would be no corporate tax. Corporate taxes actually reduce the taxes owed by the owners of shareholders. This is one of the loopholes everyone complains about. I never understood how corporations were taxed anyway because they are a fictitious entity. The owners should pay based on income, that would make it simpleNo one is saying big corporations should pay more, in fact what we have been saying since the beginning is that they should pay their fair share instead of using lawyers and lobbyists to get out of taxes.
According to SCOTUS and most of the American public, for nearly 50 years it wasn't a reach. The 10th amendment is very clear on this one. In the 14th amendment it was a reach.
I guess you don’t understand that, whether he declassified all these thousands of documents, which he cannot prove, it is still a felony for him to have ever taken them to his night club. He has admitted he had the documents. That's a felony. It has been proven that he didn’t return them as he earlier stated. Therefore, he is guilty of obstruction. Also a felony. They may not get him for espionage, but they had enough probable cause to include that in the affidavit for search warrant. By the way, claiming he didn't move physically himself is really humorous. Documents were found in his desk. You come off as rather pathetic to keep making up stories to defend this guy. You and Guliani should have some drinks together.LVT
I can see your trying so I will do the same
Let me start with your 2nd point as it is a shorter answer
As I stated earlier tax laws are not as politically driven as those that make policy. The current laws were written by those that have money and that bond is way tighter to them then there political ideology. I can't remember the exact saying but it is something like 'until the lion learns to write then the hunter will always be portrayed as the good guy'. The same for tax law, as long as the rich are making the rules the rules will always help the rich. I do not think the current tax laws are fair, I would rather see everyone pay 10% of their income. 10% from Jeff Bezos and 10% from the waitress at the Waffle House, that is 'fair'. Now if you want to argue 'Just' thats a different argument. I do not think people with money mind paying to make the money they do but its the people in the middle that always get squeezed the most (and thats not fair). I do not think saying Repubs caused the 2008 crash is right as it was definitely banks giving loans to people who couldn't afford them.
Your last comment is odd to me, you want me to educate you abouts the rights efforts to pass common sense gun laws like I speak for everyone on the right. I will say this, they are just as helpful as the lefts. Neither side has put out a 'common sense' approach to gun laws. I am 100% for whatever restrictions are needed as long as they do not infringe on my right to protect anyone, including you, if the case arose. This is a tough one that I hope gets settled because I love my kids and I know people who have lost kids feel the same way.
Morally I have no problem with anyone going to or inside the capital. Anyone that destroyed anything, hurt a cop, or tried to get in the way of governments work should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That should sum up the people on the Jan 6th thing from my point of view.
I do not think Trump will be in any trouble for Jan 6th because he would have had to have had intent. I have not heard or seen anything that leads me to think Trump thought they were going to be violent. I just don't think he will be convicted of anything but bad judgement
If Trump declassified the info, which he had every right to do while he was still president then he won't have any issues in this matter. Personally I think it was dumb to have them but I don't think anyone thinks Trump packed his own boxes. He should have just given everything back once he knew he was in possession of any of it. I don't see his even being prosecuted for this in any kind of a real manner.
It doesn't matter if 99% of the people want his prosecuted thats not how it works in our republic.
I will throw out a very blanket statement, I think anyone that breaks the law should be dealt with as the law sees fit, as long as the punishment is the same for everyone.
Lou could probably retire at 51 if he'd quit trolling.
