Ford motor company has applied for a patent that among other things will allow for self repossessing if payments are not made.

At last, a way to keep "common folk" from owning cars. Only the elites should be out there on the highway.

Looking forward to monthly itemized billing for AC, heat, cruise control, high beams, power windows, seats, steering and brakes.

The big disruptor will be self driving cars you don't own and simply pay a monthly fee to access. In other words you come home from work and the car leaves to pick someone else up, if you don't go anywhere overnight a car is the waiting for your morning commute.

Hopefully not fulfilling your required payments you
signed up for isn't considered "common folk" behavior.
I briefly sold new cars and my experience showed many “common folk” are the victims of slick high pressure sales tactics on the showroom floor and again in finance office.
Many had no idea what they signed up for and never had intentions of not fulfilling their required payments.
