Are you saying that undocumented workers have a valid social security number and pay the same taxes as you and I and will receive the same benefits as you and I and keep all their money is the US economy like you and I? If not then what are you saying? Not sure if “billions” is enough or is even accurate. Look around at these construction job sites and landscaping companies and cleaning services etc. They are sending almost 50% of their income back home and living at poverty conditions here. I really don’t think many of us know what is going on. We just want our houses built and cleaned, plenty of food on the table and our yards nice and beautiful. I do not see how we could possibly know how every single undocumented worker gets paid. I do know that wealthy people would just as soon pay cash to get cheaper services so I would blame them more than a small business owner who is just trying to compete. Small business is the backbone of our economy so when you hurt small business you hurt our economy. Corporate welfare and Wealth paying cash for services is a much higher number than how a small business pays their workers. The problem is not that simple and DeSantis has no clue. First I don’t believe every undocumented worker has a social security number and pays taxes. It is the reason why they are leaving Florida. Second I don’t believe we have accurate information about the “billions” that undocumented workers are paying in taxes. Many homeowners prefer to pay cash for cheaper services. Third we have to realize that our economy is integrated with undocumented workers. This means that a complete system overhaul is needed over a bandaid. Congress has to fix this with spending more on the problem and that will not get you elected to Congress. The longer this goes without a complete overhaul the more we will have to spend to fix it. We will have to offer a path to citizenship and I am not even sure that will be enough as they have learned how to live under the radar. It is an entire culture that we have all turned a blind eye to. The border issue is eye candy for politicians who will use it to get votes instead of fixing the problems. The more divided we are the longer this goes without solutions. Do you see any hope in a United effort to solve these issues? We are all guilty in being so divided that we don’t really want to be United anymore! We would rather listen to Brother’s Osborne “it ain’t my fault” :)
Illegals can 'buy' social security numbers. They do so in order to get employed in areas where employment doesn't allow the 1099 of subs. They see it as the 'cost of doing business' in order to make a living.
They send way more then 50% of their earnings home. They live as cheap as possible because they see their time here as temporary and the more they can send home the quicker they can head back to their families.
Fixing our immigration issues would be very easy quick and cheap that makes you wonder why no one is doing it. Having a porous border, like we do now, is what will make it tougher.
Cash is the individuals way of trading services or goods without a third parties interference, thats why the government wants to do away with it.
To say DeSantis has no clue only highlights your bias as neither does anyone on the left

I have always said, the immigration issue would go away if there were no jobs leading to a better life, even as an illegal. But when businesses take advantage of their status, pay less, pay no taxes, 1099 them etc, they profit and we pay.
So in your view business's are the issue?

Read again what I said.
As far as sending money home it’s their money they earned it.
I believe what is worse is the so called Job creators moving American jobs overseas and billionaires offshoring their money to avoid taxes and the billions in unpaid taxes each year republicans have no desire to pursue.

The problem with them sending their money home is a huge issue that no one is talking about

Lets take 5 amigos that make $1k/week
Using the lowest numbers imaginable lets say they send $500 home per week
Thats 5 people x $500/week x 50 weeks/year = $125,000 /year leaving our economy

Now give those 5 people a path towards staying without fear of being removed and they will buy homes, cars, investments, ect
They will bring their families members here and start taking pride in their surroundings

Just some food for thought

You don't think there is a path to stay? Based on what you are saying, I would think you would be opposed to a wall, and 12 million in Florida's budget to fly immigrants to other states.

As far as billionaires sending their money to places that have more relaxed tax laws that is just them using the loopholes that have been provided from our politicians, you would do the same thing if you were in their shoes

Yes, but still it’s their money they earned it and they can do what ever they please with it.

So the wealthy can do what ever they please with their money, but it bothers you when others do the same?
