Yes we should all agree that violence is a result of negative human emotion or simply a failure to communicate. Our emotions are easily manipulated by fear, anger and hatred. Our communications skills are only as good as our desire to be inclusive and open minded to people outside our culture, our politics, our religion etc. If our purpose is good we would naturally want to be in harmony with nature and each other. Human purpose has roots in survival which makes us vulnerable to negative emotion and manipulation of those emotions. All we can do is keep trying to utilize positive emotions when communicating with difficult people and violence will come down to a choice between right and wrong. We all fail every day but as long as we have tomorrow there is hope...
