Did anyone hear about Daniel Radcliffe performing in a revival of Equus?
This play gave me the creeps when it first came out--kinda sad plot line.

but, I don't see these issues as being related to Harry, his family or his decision (poor decision it may be) to be part of this play. or related to my child or my family in any way. I don't know why others want to take it so personally since it has nothing to do with their lives (this is what I have a hard time grasping).
the good thing about these kinds of issues, is it is so interesting that we all look at things in a wonderfully different way, and I don't think my way is best at all! it's just mine. thanks for sharing.

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan myself. can't wait for spidey to be old enough for the books and movies... yes, the nude thing could be tricky to explain. another opportunity for teaching the kids about life, I reckon...

I certainly agree that modesty in the classroom, at the mall, in public in general, is the best policy--at least, it is here in the United States.
However, I don't equate modesty in public with keeping your clothes on in the theater. I don't have any problem with Radcliffe doing is Equus thing. I would certainly be more concerned about a youngster being exposed to the subject matter of the play than the actual nudity. Ah, these teachable moments, they are endless and trying I know.
I agree with Augustintransit: Radcliffe is doing the play not only because he does want to grow as an actor but also because he'd rather not be forever stuck wearing a Hogwarts scarf in the pages of Tiger Beat or whatever it is the teenyboppers are reading these days. I can't blame him for that.

Aside from things like new ankles and knees, I think its best to make due with what God has given us. I just wish I had been given a better metabolism

haven't visited our sowell thread lately, but it truly has helped me lose a few pounds over the last few months. without dieting. just some inspiration from several sowal friends about lifestyle changes. I need to get back on that thread!

After seeing the movie today, somehow this thread and the pics kept popping into my head. :shock: This was probably the first HP movie that didn't really knock my socks off. Having not read the book might have something to do with it. I've read 1-3.

Philippa--a huge Harry Potter fan if ever there was one!--is off to see the movie tonight. I'll be interested to see what she thinks of it. I've not yet read a review so I haven't a clue how this one stacks up to the others. I know I've liked them all save the one with the big spiders in teh forest. That was kinda lame (to me).
