Sometimes my friends send me their tomes and photos, and I do a website for them and their friends/family to keep up with their daily escapades.

Limonecello has an intense lemon flavor with sweetness. Kinda makes your mouth pucker. I always order it as an after-dinner drink when we go to a Northern Italian restaurant, like Antica Posta in Atlanta.

Bonjour y'all! :wave: This city makes me stay awake way too late! :clap: So, I have now shown the whole bunch of Mr. Kitty's European law partners just what trouble looks like. 😀 I think I have made more friends than enemies. :idontno: I have been invited to Belgium. London and Cannes....oh and Pittsburgh. The party tonight was at the American Embassy, soon to be the Paris office of the law firm. It is where the Marshall plan was deliberated and decided on. Americans should be very proud of what we did for our friends in Europe after the war. I never made it over to actually meet the Ambassador, and that is probably for the best. :lolabove: One of the waiters had a rolling cart with that dammm foie gras stuff and he kept stalking me and forced me to try it. :sick: Then I walked in the rain to dinner with Mr. K and one of the partners from Chicago who practically lived here for 15 months working on a deal. :blink: This is probably one of the prettiest cities in the world. I relished walking around today just being a part of it. I have never felt like I was not welcomed here by the French. However, I will tell you the dollar sux bad over here. :yikes: So, we have one full day left and Mr. K has bagged golf to be with me! :wub:

i got the peels soaking in the alcohol today - i just had to smell the concoction, here's the verdict:

the vodka mix smells fresh and lemony and wonderful

the everclear mix smells like lemon scented lighter fluid :blink:

My hubby is near London. He says it's wet and cold as he*l. Glad I didn't go. Not that I was invited ... he knows that I would have gone bat-sh*t crazy on flights from ATL to London to Shanghai to Sydney to Seoul to ATL. It's winter in Sydney, but it's colder in England where it's summer. :idontno:

Yeah, back in the day, the US dollar was so good in Paris. We bought Baccarat crystal as if it were glassware at Wal-Mart, and I have bought my share of Chanel. The last few times we've gone, only the Asians appear to be buying. As a matter of fact, because of the relative economies, I have found that as an American, it's hard to get waited on at the LV shop just off the Champs. I'll be agonizing over the price of a Speedy, and they'll be buying two dozen Epi's with matching wallets and cosmetic cases. I always feel like Rodney Dangerfield there -- I don't get no respect. I'll have to admit that I've been "The Ugly American" and worn a Gator t-shirt in Roma. :blush: It worked to my advantage in Tuscany. I knew that a bunch of our art students were studying there (UGA summer abroad). As I was walking down the street in Cortona (the hill town made famous by Frances Mayes in "Under The Tuscan Sun") I heard "Dr. R."! It was one of my students! I was so happy to see him. Small world.😀

I have tqlked Mr. K into going to the Ritz for q drink, right down the street...perhaps I shall leave one there? 😀
