Where Have You Lived

I am just finding my way around here and everyone has been soooo nice and welcoming. I have been active on other forums, but this is the warmest one I have ever found. I found it by looking for info on the area, since my daughter will be a resident in Jan.

I would love to get to know the regulars better. So if you will indulge me with where you have lived in your life and now.

And I promise I won't show up and try to sell you a vacuum cleaner

I was born in Halls, Tn. population 3000 minus one. ;-)
I lived there until I went to school at UT, go Vols.
Then after graduation I taught school in the Cleveland, TN area for about 8 years.
Moved back to West TN and have been in Memphis, ever since. :bang:

How about the rest of yall?

Oops! I'm sure your family loves it...most people who live there do. I just always think of my cousin who used to live there--when I'd call her and ask what she was doing, she'd always say...."Listening to the wind blow".

 Don't you just miss how Oregon smells? Can't describe it. There are times I watch Animal House just to see the Campus!!

It seems that it in the moring there is this cool, crisp, fresh salad greens kinda feeling that says all is going to be super.
Then the afternnoon comes and yet you cling to that crispy freshness- never strays very far.
I can't wait to get back out there this fall to take it all in.

On the opposite extreme, in 24 hours or less I can't wait for the humid, occasional garbage sour beer and vomit smell of Bourbon Street, New Orleans.:rolling:
Just kidding. Not that bad. Except for Mardi Gras. Then it is worse if it is HOT.
It supposed to rain most of the time and I love walking through the French Quarter in the rain. I can't wait to get there. We leave in 24 hours!
I will probably only make one trip to Bourbon this time around. Going to be there four days. I'm going to spend every waking moment at the Galleries and tour the Garden District. I'm mostly going to eat and nap and eat and nap. And watch the Southern Decadence Parade on Sunday.
My friends are going to all the other events but I'm not into that crap.
I'll take lots of pics.....
