Boiling Eggs 101

I would like to know which one of you very fine sowal ladies gave Beachbummit her new recipe of how to boil eggs? Two weeks ago she tried boiling eggs for two hours only to end with the kitchen smelling something like well.......really rotten eggs. Last night, she decided to modify this recipe by not just boiling eggs for two hours, but for four hours! Again, same result except this time I awaken at 2AM smelling extremely rotten eggs and smoke. I don't know if she should be banned from trying to cook in her sleep or maybe swap her egg boiling recipe with one that requires only boiling the eggs for 10-15 minutes. Or maybe I should just remodel the kitchen, throw out the stove and put a vanity in its place? All I can say is she really needs some help, and think God she can kiss better than she cooks. :rolling:

Thumpin will be a under statement cause this thread has already been viewed 122 times. But I have nothing to worry about cause she will be spending her lunch cleaning out the kitchen freezer. I guess the red tide has shorted out some of her brain cells cause she put a case of cokes in the freezer! Frozen coke is everywhere! I mean its to the point I had to use a ice pick to chip out a froozen meal! I thought about taking a picture of it and posting it on here, but that would be just really, really bad. Think God I still can get my big head in my ole high school football helmet cause I am going to need it tonight :-).:rolling:In fact, I think I will go flying tonight.....bye:wave:

You are so busted!!!!! :funn:

 at this whole thread.

I can relate to BB ... I need one of those "cooking for dummies" books (also one entitled "minivan parking in narrow lots for dummies"). Every Easter I have to call my MIL and ask her again how you boil eggs. Then I promptly forget.

As for the frozen coke can explosion, well, I will tell you that such a mishap is far less expensive/annoying than the dent on the right side of my minivan or my falling apart front bumper. It goes without saying that I will not be making you an offer for the plane BB.

Glad to see I'm not the only one! I don't ding my car too often, so you have me beat on that one. I really can cook (see the Hosts thread and ask Goofer44 he has had my cooking and I've not killed him....yet! OH yeah, so has Bobby J and he is still walking around) for some reason I put those suckers on at night when I am getting ready for bed and forget all about them. :idontno: Phew, it does not smell good either!

As for the plane.....make me an offer...it's for sale real cheap! ;-)

Thanks for the recipe - I didn't know the exact times for boiling eggs either (knew it wasn't hours), but I'd have boiled a couple minutes longer.

How long for a soft boiled egg?

Just likes Brats, wait for the flames and screams, serve on toast.

The wonderful folks at Publix usually have preboiled eggs around easter. You can get real lazy and buy the pre-dyed ones too.

Meal service on the plane? Well, it's what I call "lite snacks". It begins on take-0ff, with the passengers sticking their head's out the window, opening their mouths really wide and catching a few of those dragon-flies. According to the "Survivor Man" shows, they are really high in protein, and during this time of year (mating season) you commonly catch two....just remember to spit out the wings before swallowing other wise you might choke.:rolling: Compaired to BB's burn't boiled eggs, they get five stars. I have found 500-1000 feet is best for smaller flying objects (but keep a watch out for the seagull dong around panama city airport), but to get the dragon's you need to stay around the 100 feet mark while avoiding towers, condo's and trees. :funn:
