OMG! Having no power in this weather stinks. Hope you have a gas water heater. We have an electric one, so when Opal rolled through and we had no power for a week, we had to rent a room at a motel just to avoid taking a shower in cold water. Take care, DD.

Weather Channel says there's two inches of snow on the roads in Alabama that we travel on to get to the beach. We're bummed and grumpy that we can't get there. We have been looking forward to this trip for weeks. And we really wanted to be with the Mers this weekend. :(:(

It is still snowing here although nothing with any real accumilation. We finnaly had a plow come down the street since last Saturday. We have spent the days digging, pushing, and towing cars up the street. Wednesday I had to pull a UPS truck out of a drift with my truck. Winter is just wonderful.(sarcastic) Come on warm weather and sun!!

First of all, hello furry one!!! Where the hell have you been?

We have not seen one flake....it is all around us, North, South, East and West....but none here.

DD, hope you get your power back on soon. I know how that is for sure.

BR, sorry you can't go to SoWal....know you are very disappointed.

Below from Weather.com.....wow.

Snow accumulates across South

After dropping record amounts of snow (just over a foot) in the Dallas Metroplex Thursday a vigorous storm is spreading a nasty taste of winter eastward along the I-20 corridor into early Saturday.

Already from Shreveport to the Mississippi-Alabama line, snowfall has been in the 3-to-8-inch range.

Heading eastward from south-central Alabama, through the Savannah River Valley, to southeast North Carolina, three to six inches of snow will be common before all is said and done. Snowfall could reach 2 to 4 inches as far north as the Atlanta metro and the rain could end as a few inches of snow in Mobile.

The snow will be wet and heavy, bringing down some trees and power lines and causing power outages. Snow-covered roads and bridges are leading to quite a few accidents because drivers rarely deal with snow.
Rain may even end as snow into the Florida Panhandle.

The storm will reach a position just off the South Carolina coast by late tonight. Once it reaches this point it is expected to intensify which will spread snow up the South Carolina coast bringing accumulating snows to places like Charleston and Myrtle Beach before pulling out to sea Saturday morning.

For the latest information on the snows across the South stay tuned to The Weather Channel or log on to weather.com.

I'm calling on power gods for All Y'all everywhere who have no power/heat! I know when Atlanta loses power, it can be a week before everyone is back on and that's too long in this weather.

Yay for y'all! That means sister has power since her home in Dallas is near Kitty and W. I'm sure W didn't have to deal with no power very long -- he probably has generators for safety/security reasons. Of course, he's probably in Crawford.

He was never a rancher, that was all simply a set if you will, to make him seem more grounded and average Joe.

Nice pics, Poodleone! It seems the weather gods did listen afterall. This is definitely a Two Day Snow! I think tomorrow AM will be an icy mess, but it's so pretty, quiet and delightful. Sun is bright and it feels amazing outside, even though the temp is still in the 20's!

Got an email from sister in Dallas. Her power was off during the same time period as DD and Kitty. She said that the temp in her home was 56 degrees when the power finally came on. BRRRRR!

Yeah, it took our house a while to get toasty again. I was just glad to have some light and TV. I was pretty freakin' bored with no power.

Flurries, flurries! Dang cold! Sometimes I forget how cold February can be, but I am sufficiently satisfied with our pretty little One Day Snow. BRING ON SPRING! Daffs have popped up and my Cherry Tree tried to blossom when we warmed up a tad a couple of weeks ago. I always rush Spring~~~~~~~
