Andy, the military does not give us our rights and you know this to be true. I think you just got excited and misspoke. There are many more individuals who help protect our freedoms besides the military. There are lawmakers, the courts, peace officers, attorneys, and yes even the ACLU among others.

Almost exactly the same length of time I served but that is not the point you obviously missed. To call him a name and ignore his service to the citizens of this country, in my eyes, is a disgrace to his service. I don't care if you wouldn't vote for him or not. I do care that you dishonor his service just as I would if you dishonored yours or mine.

Please direct me to a reliable source for your statement or admit is libel and retract it. You apparently have some information we should all see and be aware of. It is really unusual for a Lt. Col with over 20 years of service to be kicked out of the military. They usually retire. BTW, what is your military backround that lends itself to know so much about military personnel actions? It must be really extensive.
