It's been a while since we've talked about our pet peeves, and I think of new ones all the time. Today, it was..

Subway. (Trying to eat healthy). Man in front of me ordering 5 different sandwiches. Bless his heart, he had a list. Man orders 5 drinks too. I order my stuff. The sandwich makers get my stuff mixed up with his. Soooo, they have to unwrap all the sandwiches. :bang:

THEN, this skinny wench comes in with 4 kids. BEFORE she even orders, she grabs 4 cups and those kids proceed to cut in front of the poor 5 sandwich man, who's now trying to get his 5 drinks. :bang:

And, I'm still behind him. Now, I didn't care so much for myself, but that poor man! So that's my 2 pet peeves: food people who can't keep orders straight, and kids that have no manners!

:roll: I really wanted to come on this thread and complain about something but can't think of a single thing... I could say something about people who bug me because they always wear very neatly ironed clothing, but that would be unkind... Oh, Hey Mangy!

here's my peeve for the day:

these &*^$#@% amusement parks that not only charge $50 each to get in, but also $10 to park.

Nothing says meth addict like a sniffly nose, hoarse/nasal voice and good teeth!

how about the chucklehead with out of state plates who pulls up in front of publix with his truck and trailer and 'parks' there to go shopping, leaving the engine running with his family inside. completely oblivious to the fact that it's only two lanes there. how can people think behavior like that is ok??

i'd be better stealth removing crap on the beach in the middle of the night.

once in my adolescenthood, we tossed eggs over the bushes onto cars on king street in alexandria. apparently the cabbie we hit was not too taken with our prank. he drove around and around for at least 10 minutes trying to find us, or at least scare us, which he did quite well; no egg throwing to this day...

I learned from my friends' experiences about throwing eggs. I never did it, nor went on a egging mission. I think most of my classmates stopped egging after a few of them egged the Headmaster's home one night. They unloaded two dz eggs and threw the cartons in the yard. (idiots). Headmaster notices the Piggly Wiggly price tag on the cartons, goes to the Piggly Wiggly with a year book, and asked the clerks to point out the guys who just bought two dz eggs. Busted! I guess my classmates thought that our Headmaster was stupid, but it turns out that they were looking into the mirror that night. I'm not sure what three of those guys do for a living now, but one is a big-time class-action tort attorney, making a killing off of "stupid" actions of people and businesses.

Spam e-mail from politicians!

Somehow I am on the email list for Ms. Kay Granger who thinks that I am not only her friend, she is my representative in Congress!

Except I do not live in the 12th district she represents in TEXAS!

I have NEVER lived in Texas and while I had a lovely visit there this spring, have NO plans to EVER live or vote there!

I have been trying to get off her mailing list for years. :bang:

phone calls soliciting funds for the FL State Troopers. They are legal, even if you are on the Do Not Call List. When they do call, I have played it a number of different ways, and I cannot recall what I said to the last guy, but he hung up on me. :lol:

i hear that - they are bad about calling here too. the police protection fund has called every night between 6 and 7 for the last month.

my new problem are these darn pharmacy recruiters calling and leaving messages on my home phone about great career opportunities. i called the attorney general's office and they are not considered telemarketers so the do not call list does not apply. :angry:

Those "peace" officers calling about circus tickets for the kids makes me :pissed:

. My standard is..."I don't do anything like this over the phone" and then quickly hang up....they are usually still talking when I do this. :wave:

My mother instituted a great policy. She told a group that because they were a cause she believed in, she would give them "x" dollars every single year, as long as noone called her from that group asking for money!

They didn't make it to the third check!

But, you might miss a call like these two I have received...someone asking me how I was...me telling them I was sick and they said they were sorry and telling me that once again I had won a three day vaca somewhere...I had to interrupt before I found out the destination. :roll: Also got a voicemail from the Jehovah's Witness lady the other day...teased me with part of a Bible verse and said to call or go online for the rest. Now, I am sorry, but that is so wrong!!! :nono1:

I nearly had a cerebral hemoRAGE a couple of weeks ago...was outside mowing the yard & observe this Jehovah Witness "GANG" drive a freakin' mini bus into the neighborhood & cruise around the block looking for a nice shady place to park. Apparently "led" to my neighbor's long private tree lined driveway....they proceed to park & about "a hundred" WITNESSES scramble out of the bus and fan out in all directions, knocking on doors to impose their "gig" on my good neighbors. It was all I could do to restrain myself from putting my mower in 5th gear & chase 'em down SCREAMING w/ carotids throbbing:

"WHY -WHY - WHY would you be "called" to a peaceful, serene neighborhood (OK...disregard the crazy woman on the lawn mower!) instead of a rougher, needier, potentially more "rewarding" location ... say for instance ... a homeless shelter, crack house, or prison death row???" AAAARRGGGGHHH!!! :pissed:
