Here we go, I never wear a seatbelt eitherMy point is that your purpose seems to be driven by political division. Not science. Not truth. Not evidence. Not human compassion. I think you take your freedoms even when it hurts others. I just don't understand why!
I believe when my time is up it is up
But I should wear a seatbelt because it is a law

Here we go, I never wear a seatbelt eitherAnd you don't believe that taking certain precautions makes it more likely that your "time" will be extended? Is that what you are saying? Does that not matter to you?

For all the bravado espoused here I'll bet someone wouldn't walk into a Sacred Heart break room full of nurses and start shouting this nonsense.
The lock down had nothing to do with protecting the infirm, elderly and immune compromised. It had everything to do with slowing the spread (masks slow too) to prevent overwhelming our medical facilities and workers. The vaccine was another way to slow the spread.
Y'all are arguing will pure willful ignorance and this is how he gets his jollies.

LVTThe context is saving human lives. You offered nothing to society. Society offered you masks, vaccines, information and many of us gave effort and took a very small risk and got the vaccine. You take. Society gives. You disparage society.
I don't like your politics but I think you are intelligent
There is no way on God green earth that this picture above was shown without more context
The most important context being the filtration size of the masks
You know better then most that the mask you where to keep out sawdust and the mask you where to keep out sheetrock dust or paint are different
The top doctors said covid was an airborne disease
They didn't say it was transmitted through the spittle
If it were that would make the masks extremely important but that is not what was sold to us
That being said I didn't go to medical school

And you don't believe that taking certain precautions makes it more likely that your "time" will be extended? Is that what you are saying? Does that not matter to you?I'm saying I have faith. I have lived and am living a very blessed life. When my time is up I hope to have no regrets. I keep my house in order. I don't know what I believe as far as God or a higher power but I know if there is a next destination that I can reroll the film of my existence and I'll be just fine. Maybe I shouldn't poke the bear though, I'm trying to get it right

I'm gonna honor my word of not swinging back for a few more days but maybe just realize that not everyone thinks like you
I received very good advise when I was young
Never take advise or criticism from someone you wouldn't trade places with
This is why your words mean very little to me
FYI I have a couple of nurses in the family and none of them wanted or got the vaccine.
One of my major deciding points in not getting the vaccine was direct and indirect talks with doctors
Slow your roll

My choice was based 100% on science and evidence.
Human compassion is an odd one because you want me to do something that may hurt me so you may or may not be safer, do you not see the irony in this?
I will never ask you to give up any of your freedoms and I expect the same in return
Your understanding doesn't factor into my equation

Fine, and in my life, I want absolutely nothing to do with people who's faith is so strong, they think the big guy is looking after them, until of course the bastard decides to kill them. And it is your right to take that stance, I hope for your sake your not wrong, eternity seems like a long time. Having seen a couple of peoples final breath people always seem pray at the end. You do you though
I'd be light on the bastard in the sky deciding to kill them comments but thats just me

It takes a lot more than you think to get it right and we all keep making mistakes along the way. None of us know everything but my faith is in the planet earth. A miracle planet that has given us all human life. This is as good as it is going to get...

My purpose on the vaccine had nothing to do with politics, everybody on earth could have got it and I still wouldn't have. No, you are wrong. You are not basing anything on science. You are not being honest with yourself. If you felt immune strong enough to take on Covid then you should have felt immune strong enough to get the vaccine. You need to be the victim and that is odd. Society gives you freedoms and pleasures and all sorts of good things and you are worried that the vaccine may hurt you. Society did not make you do anything and you hurt society with increasing the risk of transmission of the virus. The sum of your equation is negative...

You think man is the apex of existence and enlightenment? So you don't believe in the soul? Its all just ashes to ashes for you huh? Why do you care if you live or die then? You're never gonna get any younger, you're never gonna get healthier, at your age things will get progressively worse until you stop being. So your goal is to see how long you can last?
Have you ever thought about what a human being is? Just think how perfect we are. Do you think their was no architect or engineer to our design?
If the earth is the miracle then you must believe in extraterrestrial life because the planet is the life giver. I believe in other life forms too
What if you're wrong?

Nope, no soul, this is it, lights out, just like before you were born. Absolutely one of my goals is to see how long I can last, in relative comfort with a sound mind of course. I also have a loosely defined bucket list.
We are hardly perfect, that's why we have things like cancer. A designer would have done a much better job. The earth is not a miracle, and therefore it stands to reason that life could exist on other planets. If I'm wrong, then I stand corrected, just like any other time I'm wrong.

So your goal is to see how long you can last?I could be wrong. I hope I am wrong. It would be interesting for sure to know what God thinks of our political division. All I know is that life is good on this planet and would like to live as long as I can on this planet. I suspect that there is more life in the universe but I have no idea really. I suspect there is no life after death but how could I know until it happens? I think there is an unknown factor or energy that should not cause us to fear death but to embrace the life we have. This planet is the architect of life as we know it.

In my opinion,Maybe things like cancer are just a tribute to the fact that we haven't got it all figured out yet

Maybe things like cancer are just a tribute to the fact that we haven't got it all figured out yetActually, it appears that 2/3 of cancers are caused by random DNA copying errors, which is indeed something we haven't figured out, but it does seem like sloppy design. These cancers have nothing to do with lifestyle choices.
The answer, like many others, is out there but we haven't got to it yet

In my opinion,I love your “lights out“ analogy, because that’s how I often think. Obviously, I wasn’t around with my parents or aware of the time they grew up in or their meeting and making me. My spouse is 14 years older than me. So I can I can only relate to the time we met, not anything before.

Whenever someone dies, whether they are personally related, or famous, I always say “well now they know or not.” YMMV!
