Sorry to disagree,but it was Nancy who was responsible for people not getting paid. She had plenty of offers. President Trump's is trying to keep illegals out, color has nothing to do with it. It's all about coming to our country the proper way. All are welcome to come. Do it by the law.

Seems this was Leader McConnell who wouldn't allow a vote and then when he did it was party line vote. Also did I misunderstand when the President said he would take responsibility for closing the government? Seems that the President and Speaker made their positions clear and that was the issue. From what I saw, there was no real attempt at negotiating because neither was willing to budge. Before you say the Dreamers offer, based on what I read, that was just a short term offer.

Free thinking isnt welcome, you have to take a side. The real issue is Trump is so petty, so unprofessional, so unpresidential and such a horrible person that you overlook several of the things that he has done right.
We were headed to being a country of hypercritical, hyperopinionated, easily offended snowflakes in the first place, insert President Moron, who rather than being the voice of reason, has been the voice if treason and we just found ourselves here a lot faster.
The "wall" is a great example of a very old conversation that every President since Reagan has discussed and even though Cheeto's position isnt too different than Obama's or Clinton's, he gets crucified. Trump's problem is it is the messenger, not always just the message.
I think Joy Behar spoke for the entire Democratic party and for some of us independents with this

A national emergency was never designed as an end run around Congress. Congress has had plenty of time vote and approve funding but have shown no desire to do so for over two years. He can shutdown the government as much as wants but he still won’t accomplish his goal. Stopping the lying, gathering hard facts and selling it is the only path a path he has never traveled.

Because they disagreed with his pronouncements, Trump just called our intelligence chiefs “passive and naive”. Just as a reminder, they are the ones whose job it is to gather the facts concerning our national security. They know what’s going on. Either he is getting his intelligence assessments from Fox News or just making up sh*t. Either way, it ain’t good

I desire that "bible thumpers", "do gooders" and "right to lifers" see their way out of a woman's womb and any medical decision she makes between herself and her physician.
