SteeleMama, I mean Thread Hi-jacker;-), I think that is a great idea.
Steeleing1, thanks for setting SteeleMama straight. Gas mileage running short trips around here in stop and go traffic is just over 16 mpg, and it increases a bit when the miles are hwy miles. With your long commutes, gas costs will surely add up quickly vs your current vehicle. It burns the regular gas, rather than the super premium which some smaller more gas-effecient cars burn, so that might offset total gas expenses somewhat if yours burns Super Prem only.

We can arrange a test drive, but beware, after driving it, you will feel the need to own it. I use it primarily for work, and that is why you usually see me in the other car.

I would love a Sequoia, as the last time I was the chauffuer (sp?) Mom to the Commons, I had six 14-year-olds in a Camry. Thank goodness one of them is small for his age. And, I would trust SJ when buying a used vehicle.

Unfortunately, my budget doesn't allow anything but a debt consolidation loan right now... or SJ and I would be at the tax collector's office transferring the title NOW...

As you know a new version of the Sequia will coming out this fall on the new TUNDRA platform.

Bad news for you - We just picked up a brand 2007 Limited version.- 0 miles. The dealer discounted it $6,000 off of sticker. The dealer gave up alot including 1/2 his hold back.

Good news for you- The 2008 Sequia will be long. Suburbanisque size. Most people do not want or need that size. The older platform Sequia may become a hot item once the covers come off the 2008 model.

This SUV rides great. You are right once someone test drives it. It will be sold. Good Luck. Is your other ride a RR sport?

$6,000 off of the 2007 Limited if it has some extra goodies, will still set a buyer back about $10,000 more than my vehicle, which is in great condition and with low miles.

I hope for Toyota's sake that the new 2008 model Sequoia will not be as ugly as their new trucks. I think you are right about the longer version being to big for most consumers. The Sequoia is a good size as it is. Make it any longer and people will have to do three point turns just to get in a parking space.
