I love the swimming as I did it in High School and some in college. Have a huge respect for the gymnastics team as that course about cost me my degree. Yikes it was hard.

Love the Equesterian as you have two athletes performing. And I feel for them as they had difficulities getting to the Olympics. One of the American female riders lost her horse to a freak accident while training, and is riding her back up and Phillips of the British team is out due to an injury to her horse.

After they arrived at the Hong Kong venue they had a tropical storms but luckily no horses were injuried.

That is alot to go thru even before you begin an event.

Thompson did win the Silver and even with his best personal best time, he was farther from first than any Olympic silver medalist since 1984. Bolt is just awesome.

Shifting to winter for a sec, once I figured out the strategy to curling I became hooked. It was always on late at night, and I would watch every night. Check it out in 2010.

Badminton is crazy! Technically, it the fastest game with the shuttle coming close to 200mph! Wow!

The swimmers have always impressed me. I have many great childhood memories of swimming back and forth across Stallworth Lake.

But, thanks to SJ's dang alligator/huge snake photos, I am fairly certain that I could smoke Michael Phelps in a freestyle race across Stallworth.

I was so hoping Shawn and Nastia would be #1 & 2 last night in the indvidual floor exercise. That darn Romanian stuck all her landings.:clap::D

It was still funn to watch.

For anyone else wondering..Shawn is 4'9" and Nastia is 5'2". I had to look that up last night, Nastia looks tall but I knew she probably wasn't.

Nastia is only 5'-2"!?! Amazing - she looks so slender and graceful compared to Shawn's muscular compactness I assumed she was taller!

I love listening to the "expert" commentators - who are revealed to be talking out their arse every time they speculate!
