Of course it is [self-interest] if you really care about the outcome. How could it not be? It's the same when I donated money to the people of Haiti, which by the way, I think is much more effective than prayer. I personally wanted to see the lives of the people improve. I cared. If you care about something or someone, that's the very definition of self-interest.

I find it interesting that the Atheist posts so much with regard to religion or religious beliefs and traditions.
In my case I like to get a better understanding of what makes people think the way they do and work in some of my own ideas. It's really no different than a political discussion. Why do liberals post to teabagger threads and vice-versa? People like to banter I guess.

You can actually get prayer tracker software. Prayer Tracker and list management It has prayer templates for commonly used prayers. This one is for "New Employment Opportunity".
