by that line of reasoning, do you tell your kids to look out for japs, commie chinese/koreans/vietnamese. or do you not buy japanese and german cars because of ww2? what's the expiration date on your hatred. do you want to get it on with the iranians and make it three simultaneous wars in the middle east? who is the enemy? the democrats, atheist/agnostics, radical leftists. all mass media, jane fonda, hillary, george clooney, any gay people, anyone with a veil or an accent, anyone disagreeing with your paranoid sense of the world. make sure you write down all the boogeymen for your kids to be able to identify. better yet, make an enemies list like nixon and go after people.

at the moment, none of the other ethnic groups/nations/governments you mention are plotting to kill us with the possible exception of the iranians and n. koreans. what would you suggest as a course of action against a growing group of people that is well funded and has hijacked a religion with dead set goals of disrupting and ending life as we know it in the US? should we teach the children that these people deserve our compassion and that they were mistreated during childhood. that we should just turn the other cheek when we are attacked. please give me your hippie version of the peace making process between the US and radical islam.

Excellent quote applicable to this thread in more than one way. I'd like to forget that there were those bickering and had such vile contempt for each other on this thread on 9/11, but we all need to know and learn from it. I wish that energy was channeled into something more productive.
