I read about this in the paper yesterday:

http://www.romereborn.virginia.edu/

Students have recreated ancient Rome (in its entirety) using architectural software.

If you look at the video clips in the "Gallery" section, it's pretty darned amazing to see what the Romans accomplished two millenia ago.

(Maybe it's just me, but the music was freaking me out. The last video had the oldest music--from the Baroque period, I think--but the music was written 1500 years later than the city was built.)

If you go to Rome, you can easily find these little souvenir books called "Rome Then and Now" which have transparent overlays that show how still-standing buildings originally looked. This takes that concept to the max. Way cool.

That's my problem. I've been dying to go for years (which is probably why this site fascinated me.)

Why didn't I marry into money?

I have asked myself this same question........twice.

It took me 40+ years of living to get to Rome, so I shouldn't worry too much about it if I were you!! You'll get there eventually (and you'll be glad you did :D ).
