We were just there long enough to eat before hitting the ice rink. That's another story. We should have stayed for Dread.

Hmmmm...I swear I saw Skunky and Punz at the ice rink.:dunno:

She's much better after finding out it was Ammonia in the ice water and not something else.

no more dry white turkey meat:)

Several years ago, I picked up a small TDay menu booklet at Sonoma. (Place turkey on foil on rack.) Their procedure at the time was to cook the turkey breast side down at 425 for 30 min, turn temp to 325 for 30 min continue cooking upside down. Basting of course during this time period too. Then take out of oven to turn over and return to oven - removing foil. The foil helps to manuever. Another person can be handy too. It does seem like alittle bit of a hassle but the results are great. Because of the possible risks involved, I've never seen the recipe again, but really like it.
Looking forward to checking out these new restaurants. Counting down. Ellen

Go to www.food.com and look up Alton Brown's turkey method. It's probably the simplest thing in the world with the best results.

Unless you've got a giant smoke and a restaurant, can't beat that.

My perfect beach
Our Jambone Christmas ham was to die for! Everyone raved about the flavor - mildly smoky with just enough sweetness. We picked that bad boy to the bone, which will be going into a pot of red beans tomorrow. Thanks Scott!

By the way, we loved our Thanksgiving turkey and the gravy was awesome, too. Not only is Jambone's food delicious, but I love that they use free-range, organic meats. Junior Critter loves their burgers, I love their giant organic salad and we dream about their nachos.
