A Limoncillo Toast...

Okay...here's an idea. Next hodown, we have a limoncello tasteoff. I am the emcee.

I'd love to hve a tasteoff at the next hodown. I'd have to figure out how to get my limoncello cream to SoWal on the plane because I'm unlikely to drive and those airport people took my limoncello out of my bags last time. But, I could try again and just take the chance. Sometimes they let it through, sometimes they don't.

I agree with Audi that it can be too sweet... so maybe I'll try to cut the sugar just a little bit. It should be sweet like Bailey's Irish Cream is, but not sweeter. And I'd go with Vodka or Everclear pure alcohol. I'd have to do a side by side comparison.

And I'll try out limoncello (not cream) and champagne this summer, too.

the everclear mixture was way too sweet for me, i drank maybe an ounce of it and bout got sick. mr audie on the other hand, who can't hold his liquor, got toasted on it. he is in bed groaning right now

Interesting...I would have thought that the Everclear would be more bitter...Meanwhile...Are you having "your way with Mr.A" while he's down??

the everclear recipe called for way too much sugar - like 6 cups or so. blech !

an there was no way-having last night - the last words he uttered before passing out on the couch in the basement was "i can't feel my tongue, it's all numby". and he was out. luckily shawn and i didn't have to carry him up to bed.
