Comedy can get pretty dark at times. Sometimes people laugh at the most shocking things and that's part of the fun. I can't get upset at him for laughing. Limbaugh said some really idiotic things when Obama went to visit his dying grandmother in Hawaii, claiming his trip was some sort of conspiracy to coverup issues with his citizenship. His grandmother died a few days later. Yeah if I were Obama I'd be gleeful thinking of fat b---rd Limbaugh suffering. So Idlewind cry my tears for me because I don't give a rat's A__.

Oh freakin' r-e-l-a-x, where is your sense of humor--Conservative/Republicans (same thing) need to take their cue from Ann Coulter whenever she totally disparages people on the left-- you just follow it, as she will do, with a "oh, I was just kidding.." Dark it may be, but it's humor! Humor gets alot of people through some rough times! I can truthfully say that humor got me through the last days of my parents lives. If I couldn't laugh at things at that point, it would have been unbearable. I don't like Obama but he is just as human as the rest of us! He isn't perfect, nor was any president to ever be elected! I have laughed at some pretty strange things in my life time!

Take a deep breath, let it out....see much better!! Smile!

I haven't seen it, but it's obviously been controversial. I agree that humour is great medicine and I enjoy seeing our Presidents in this light. I need to see what all the hype is about, however.

I don't care which side of the aisle it's on. I have no problem with Obama's courtesy laugh, but making fun of someone else's misfortune (whether they "deserve" it or not) is low humor, in bad taste, and of poor character. Coulter & Limbaugh are certainly guilty of it.

The vast majority of Sykes' bit was hysterical. Her funniest shot was at Michelle Obama for touching the queen. Michelle could not stop laughing at the jab.

Sykes went overboard with the Limbaugh stuff -- it was in poor taste, no doubt -- and despite Obama's "courtesy laugh" his body language conveyed his discomfort.

But it is absolutely true that Limbaugh says many things on a consistent basis that are just as outrageous, and given his ratings those "jokes" may at times get a wider circulation than anything Wanda Sykes said. So it is hard to feel really sorry for him.

The bottom line is that both Rush and Wanda are in the business of saying things for their shock value in order to elicit a reaction. That's their job. The only issue at hand is when is something inappropriate or not or if it is in bad taste? That determination lies solely with the listener and how he / she interprets it, but it gets even more complicated.
It could be funny as hail but inappropriate, or it could go over like a total dud but be totally appropriate.

It is what it is. Go get some Grey Poupon and have a burger!
