When I got to 500 posts here a friend of mine told me people who post here "a lot" were "sad and pitiable, and had no real lives.". I believed him, but only briefly, until I had found 40 new friends (I counted), some closer than others--sure, all of them I could just hug-- I feel that comfortable with them, and will continue to do so.

There are 4 sowallers I STILL need to meet after my "cyber" death at 3,000--one nice gal is in Chicago, one lives across the bay, one I am befriending today on facebook..and one I JUST HOPE TO MEET--his name is 3 lower case letters, he is always on the poli forum, and I want to be just like him when I eventually grow up (even though we are the exact same age)!

IF YOU ONLY HAD 5 POSTS left what would you say or do here?

How would you like to finish your SoWal 'cyber" life? I think I am going to PM a few strangers here and say I am sorry for some of the things I may have said "in the moment"...

....now, onto become a full time lurker, or one of the SoWal "ghosts". bye! It is better than being banned (that is like going to hell).

Hnooe! I'm always in Chicago! Y'all are just too sweet for words! I never knew you had such a hankering to meet me. I am so flattered.:clap:

Is it really me? Oh heck! I thought a SoWaller is someone who actually goes to the real live SoWal but if I expand my definition Mr. Cyber Death might be thinking of someone else...oh well, easy come, easy go. I guess I can't be flattered any more.

Seacrestkristi was someone who couldn't string more than two words together without inserting a smilie. It made anyone older than a first grader totally blinded in the eyes.

Hey, you'd better hurry and get that email to me- I am the "one across the bay" right, hmmmmmmmmm? :DWhat happens if I lose power and I have to worry about my social standing on sowal for days on end? Nevermind how horribly guilty you will feel if I get washed away and you never got to speak your peace to me.

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
Hmmmm, if I had to write my last few posts, I'd use one to say thanks to all the SoWallers who have been so much funn to meet in person and who have become face-to-face friends, too. I've been too crazy busy this past year to stay in touch much (and I hardly get to SoWal - I used to get there a lot), but my heart is very much connected to SoWal and SoWallers. And I'll be baaaaaaaack! And hnooe, you don't leave SoWal, you hear!!! People who have real lives can do face-to-face and virtual lives at the same time - life is way too short and being a SoWaller face-to-face and virtually doubles the fun. You'll love meeting Mermaid in person (and Merman, too).

Quitters are sad and pitiable.

Sharing is human.

Don't be taken in by any talk of "quitting" SoWal, Kurt. People who leave his message board--for whatever reason--slip away quietly and unobtrusively, making way for new posters. It's the ebb and flow of life.

The ones who trumpet loudly that they're cyber-dying, waaaal, let me just say there's a reason they post on the anniversary of Elvis' death. They never quite leave the building. ;-)
