In Texas, I can legally order my 20 year old an alcoholic beverage when she is with me. What about Florida's laws? I have spent the better part of an hour or so trying to find an answer on the internet. I tried to read the info on the Florida Departmen of Business and Professional Regulation. It's probably the wrong place to look! Now that my eyes are crossed, I thought I'd ask the experts on SoWal. Can anyone help?

I have a 20 year old also and she said she'd come down to SoWal with me on a girls' trip...next year when she's 21. That should tell you what the drinking age is in Florida, huh?

You can stop looking for "loopholes"...the law in Florida is one must be 21 (one nano-second past midnight on the 21st anniversary of the day they emerged into the light) to legally drink--even if they're still with Mommy.

Well, that's that. I knew I could get the answer immediately right here. Many thanks.

There's always the option of being a bad influence at home. Of course that doesn't work out too well. Talk to some of the local high schoolers.

What shelly said. In GA, at one time (not sure now), you could legally let your kid consume alcohol in your presence, ONLY IN YOUR HOUSE, not in a bar and restaurant. not so in fl.
