Opposing Views: Does Acupuncture Work?
Most studies show it's a 50/50 shot between following the 'special points' and randomly jabbing needles into a patient.
From what I understand, it really does seem to help some people with chronic pain syndromes. Maybe physiologic, maybe placebo, but if it works, who cares? With that said, I can't imagine a child being anything other than scared to have a stranger coming at them with a fistfull of needles.
