Beach Runner, could you please outsource all of my chores for me, too? I'm too tired to find someone to do them. If I delegate to you, I'm finished!
It's just that we're running out of time. Wedding next Saturday night with reception at our home! At my age and stress level, I don't work as efficiently as I once did. So out of extreme urgency, I have become a very effective manager of outsourcing.
I had scheduled 2 hours for that. I hate cleaning silver. I hate housework. Period. I'd much rather be in my office or teaching computer science. Remind me that I said this the next time I b*tch about prepping for classes late at night. It's just that we're running out of time. Wedding next Saturday night with reception at our home! I am dropping things on my low priority list at a fast pace. My mantra has become as follows -- who will notice the imperfections except me? And if they do notice them, I am at the point at which I don't care.
It is what it is.
I still see so many things I still need to do ...[/B]
That's the spirit!

The scariest chore on the list just got completed -- cleaning the antique Waterford chandelier that our architect found for us at an antique store on Magazine Street in NOLA. The chain cover is made from the store owner's family's old linen sheets. We haven't cleaned the chandelier in at least 10 years because I'm so afraid we'll break it. Today hubby had a very systematic way of cleaning it -- good job! Now I can breathe again. It looks so beautiful and sparkly.
No martini, but I celebrated with a glass of wine.![]()
