I have a kid almost exactly a year younger than you. I think this is the time of life when you just know that things are gonna change, friends might be lost, if only temporarily, etc. It is okay to *not* follow the herd.

But holy cow I can't imagine spending 3 or 4 bucks on coffee there every single day.

I hear its a great company to work for. Anytime I go in the one where I work, the people see really happy. Maybe it's all that caffeine...
