Last week, two visitors to South Walton found themselves stuck in a rip current and became distressed. Thanks to the quick actions of James Hewgley (pictured on right) of Sandestin’s Riptides Beach Bar and Alex Metz (pictured on left) from the resort’s Beach Services team, the guests were rescued. Alex has served as a lifeguard and even taught lifeguard skills to people of all ages. Special thanks to both James and Alex for their timely response, quick thinking and lifesaving actions!
