Sorry, I forgot to upload!

way to go supermom and supergirl! :clap_1:

I've talked to other parents who did homeschooling for one or more of their children for a limited time (like one year) and truly enjoyed the new kind of bond that was formed with their children, through their work and achievements. and then as the children resume regular school placement, the parents and children continue to share a heightened and mutual interest in school activities, plus the educational and enrichment experiences at home and beyond school remain very important.

I learn much from hearing your experiences. even though I do not plan to homeschool. when my little one enters public school though, I do plan to do a certain amount of homeschool-like activities - to enrich his learning and make up for the time he has to spend on preparing for and taking tests while in school...

Homeschooling would cost me more in the long run than private school becasue of the Wine and Therapist bills :D

YES!!! That is us too. :rotfl:

I applaud those who do it, and do it well. :clap_1: :clap_1:
Me too, TFT!
I could never have homeschooled.... :bang:
My son would have benefited from one on one schooling...however it could not have been me...he NEVER believed anything I told him was the truth.I would try to help him with homework (when he was much younger) and he would disregard my thoughts...telling me I was totally wrong. I would ask him to find out from his teacher if I was right...of course I always was...:D But he was still hard headed and would not believe me in anything until he had hard evidence....:dunno:
Even to this day the little bat turd :)biggrin: ) thinks he is smarter than me....some kind of family trait? I have no idea where he gets his notions.....:dunno:
I adore him but could NEVER have taught him!
Kailey...on the other hand...would have been missing the social aspect of public school so it would not have worked for her either.
I do aplaud those that can home school, while at the same time give their kids a good social and behavioral base with which to function in the real world.

I think that too. I never liked my children enough to consider it but I know it works. One of Philippa's classmates was home-schooled until she reached high school age, and she is the valedictorian of her class & has gotten a full ticket to Notre Dame University. If that's not a good testament to the success of home schooling in the right hands, I don't know what is.

If I had any advice at all on homeschooling through highschool it would be... records, records, records. Please, keep records of anything and everything you do. It helps to be a packrat.

When I graduated, my records were spotty and a mess, so it really didn't matter if I was outrageously intelligent, no one wanted to give me financial aid! Even getting admitted was a challenge. It's definitely not like that for everyone who homeschools, but it can be for those who have little to no records. Accredidation under an umbrella school works for that purpose too.

When they were little pipsqueaks I didn't always!! I like kids in adult-sized packages better, like mine are now.
