Amazing Films in 2008

There are an incredible bunch of films that have hit the theaters in December. I am a film junky so I have been in movie heaven. The best so far that I have seen are in no particular order : The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Milk, Slum Dog Millionaire, The Boy in Striped Pajamas, I've Always Loved You, Frost/Nixon, Doubt. I tried to see Eastwood's Gran Torino last nite in Phoenix but it was sold out.....it was playing in only one theater. The Reader, Revolutionary Road, The Wrestler, and Waltzing With Bashir are due to hit theaters this week.

I don't know why but I want to see Frost/Nixon! And Australia. (is it still even in theaters? )

Australia is still at the Pier Park grand so you are in luck. Frost/nixon I'm not sure.

P.S. I purposefully did not capitalize nixon. I was raised that only proper nouns should be capitalized.

Sean Penn is awesome in MILK. I think he is a strong contender for another best actor award but so far Brad Pitt's role in "Button" is my choice. But I still have to see The Wrestler with Mickey O'Rourke. I saw Valkyrie with the mis-cast Tom Cruise....good film but we all know the outcome. Seven Pounds, with Will Smith, was a big disappointment, imho.

I hope to see Doubt before it leaves here...I am delighted it is playing at all...but will be so disappointed if it only stays for a day or two, and I miss it!

Bolt, Wally, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar 2 Escape to Africa, Horton Hears a Who, and Star Wars The Clone Wars...:roll:. help me for I have seen them all and more. what's more.. I liked them!
