Yep, I am waiting for some cat fights. I loved the task with the donkies. I was LMAO!!!!!!

Brother and sis are a bit "close". Y'know, even Biffy doesn't hug me like that.....

I think they are TOOOOOOOOO close. The goth couple, well the guy's face is so white, he almost had a pink glow to it. BB, although it is a pretty pink, it is not a good look.:rotfl:

Waiting to see how the minister couple does, I predict they will be finished within three weeks.

:D

Suspect that they are doing the TV thingee. You'll notice that every time a couple gets to the finish line, they hug and play kissee face, but usually after a brief pause, like "Oh yeah, we forgot to hug and kiss".

Maybe wrong:dunno:

PS How long do the Goth folks take to put on all that make up? Who would hire them? What do people like that do to make a living?
And that screeching blonde drove me nuts!!!:bang:

Don't forget makeup can be washed off. The goth guy works at Texas Roadhouse and I was stunned to discover it's the one I go to. I can say with certainty that he isn't allowed to wear that makeup there. But now I'm wondering what he looks like under that stuff. He may have waited on me and looked perfectly normal. They also both work at a hair salon. :dunno:

I'd be interested in seeing them without makeup but I venture to say it won't happen, unless the rest of the team members gang up on them. OR, remember when Joyce had to shave her head? Maybe there would be a challenge of that nature...:rotfl:

The one with the thong on backwards!!!!

They seem to think that peroxide and skinny bikinis will win it for them:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Can't say I was disappointed...

I think this show can bring out the worst in people. It probably would me too...Mr OL and I don't fight or argue much but when we do it's about driving or directions. I have a really good sense of direction...he does not.

The pole vaulting over the nasty bog was pretty funny. Looks like they let the married ministers cheat tho. They didn't pass anyone who landed in the water before. Poor Gramps in his undies.:yikes:

And what is up with the crass father and daughter team...I couldn't understand why he was going off on Nick in the airport. It really wasn't his concern...maybe he thought he wasn't representing American's in the right way.:dunno:

  • Glad the she/she ministers were gone. THey gave me the creepies
  • Goth team, strange but are getting the job done and with flair....
  • gramps team, get on my nerves. But at least gramps tried the pole vaulting. Gotta give him credit...
  • dad/daughter team. The way the editors are showing it it seems like he is a real arse...you never know though what the rest of the conversation is and I try to remember that. He does come off as rude and badgering to her.
  • 2 blondes and 2 sisters - boring. Maybe they will liven up a bit later. I did love it when the one blonde was covered in mud and her partner would not even hug her. I, being the muddy one, would have grabbed her and made her muddy as well...;-)
  • brother/sister team, something is not quite right.... they are certainly out of place, somehow.....
  • I guess that leaves three teams. I am pulling for Rachael & tk and lorena and jason....

The gramps team gets on my nerves, too, but him stripping down to his skivvies was pretty funny. Not sure why they chose him to do that one. :D

The father and daughter team - she is very patient with her dad, he's pretty hard on her, or so it seems. He needs to lighten up.

I don't mind the goths, although the guy does remind me of Marilyn Manson. He has a bit of a southern accent, which strikes me as funny. Must be habit from working at Texas Roadhouse. :lolabove:

The two blondes and the two sisters are pretty boring, although I think I like the two sisters, they might make it pretty far just because they are working on their own. :D

Brother and sister are doing pretty well, kudos to them. This week they didn't seem so "close" as last week.

Rachel and TK are great. I LOVE how he said that their relationship was more important than the Race. Brownie points for him.

Lorena and Jason kind of make me laugh. She gets so nuts and Jason looks like Chris Cornell, to me.

That other couple - the guy and the blonde - it might be wrong, but they REALLY make me laugh. They are horrible to each other, which is sad, but they've chosen to be in the relationship. He needs to learn to not compare her to others so much, especially since he cheated on her!

How about all of those girls tying the knots and lifting the heavy furniture?!

The father/daughter pair ripped me up. The old man was on her incessantly. Lil seaside would have been all over me, telling me to shut the he!! up (And rightfully so). The daughter has the patience of a saint!

The goths are doing better. Maybe it was less makeup:rotfl::funn::dunno:

The blonde pair killed me "Two days without a facial". Life is so hard on some people.:yikes:

The homless looking pair is a mystery to me. They might come on strong.

Had to give it to gramps what with the pole, stripping down and all that. I thought he would have a heart attack before he made it over.

Ok, since I have some or should I say *little *experience with the race :sosad: I thought I'd join this conversation....

I was a TAR fan since day one of Race One...actually from the first commercial with Kev & Drew running across the footbridge at Victoria Falls...

I've watched every season...and I can tell you that It is now SO different for me to watch. There is SO much that goes on behind the scenes...not that you are helped in any way or that the show is staged...it's just the TIME factor. They make it look like things happen in a flash...when in fact some of the tasks take HOURS. I can ONLY imagine how long some of those teams were that bog/pole vault thing. It makes me cringe.

And.....having gone thru five months of the casting process....I will also say...no matter WHAT these people come across as on the show....EVERYONE that is cast goes thru an LONG process....If you make it to the start line...1. That is amazing in itself (sometimes up to 70,000 teams apply) and 2. You gotta be smart as your are tested on every level...So when they make someone appear to be stupid....I know they are not. They edited it to look like I could not drive a stick shift. Everyone ask me...."Didn't you KNOW that you would have to drive a stick at some point?"....DUH...I live at the beach...have owned a Jeep for years....but the writers have to tell a story....And there is SO MUCH that never makes it to the air. The funniest things that happened to Joni and I experienced....that we were sure they would air....never made it to the screen. It is 1000 times more fun than it looks and 10,000 more difficult. After the first leg of the race I was stunned....it was a miracle that we found the mat...we stayed totally lost all the time.

It's been The MOST Amazing experience of my life.....well except being mom to two fabulous sons....and the experience continues today....not a day goes by that TAR fans don't come to the gallery. I LOVE the race...don't consider myself a Racer....I'm MUCH more a Fan of the show.

Don't know if you know...but it's consistently won Emmys every year. This year the ONLY Emmys that CBS won was for The Amazing Race!!

I watch every Sunday night....usually with friends...so if you live her and are a fan...email me....

So FINALLY I can answer most questions about the show....bring em' on....
