Bummer, the Daytona 500 ran late so TAR didn't start until 8:30. That's the bad thing about counting on your DVR/Tivo if you don't catch it and extend the recording to the next show.

Same thing happens to us in the football season. :sosad:

My kids got me hooked on AR years ago. When it was on they'd be in there screaming at the TV and I'd laugh at them for getting so involved.

I started watching it because I got so tickled at them yelling "NOOOO", "it's right there" and "wrong way fool". It was interactive TV :D The kids talked about doing it themselves. They were sure they could do better than most teams, had 4 languages between them, could drive a clutch and were both strong. This was their criteria. They would have been a hoot to watch, they still wish they'd done it. It's one of my favorite shows even though it's quiet when I watch it now.

Anyone hang in there until the end? I seriously thought about not watching anymore after Rob and Amber were eliminated but I hung in there. I can't believe I had to watch Mirna and Schmirna in every episode. I was happy that Eric and Danielle won but I was rooting for the blondes.

I kept watching to the end. Eric's a total tool who let Danielle carry him on the harder tasks in the race. I was hoping for a Danny & Oswald win, but killer fatigue hit them hard in the end. I'm glad Mirna & Charla didn't win. I actually found them highly entertaining and fun to watch, but I couldn't have handled Mirna's self-righteousness.

I was cheering for Danny & Oswald after Rob & Amber left. I actually didn't care who won of the last three as long as it wasn't Mirna. She jumped up and down on my last nerve. I hated the way her accent changed for every country she was in. (Like if she spoke in English with a heavy Spanish accent they would understand her better.:bang: )

I loved watching Danny and Oswald. They were so funn and kept us laughing. I think Eric was edited to appear worse than he is. Danielle had to have watched the season where they were competing. Why would she be with someone like that? Or maybe I'm giving her too much credit, I don't know. I just didn't want Mirna and Charla to win so I was happy with the outcome either way.

We were hoping for Oswald and Danny to win a few weeks ago, then sorta wanted the blonds to win in the end. We too, got some sort of entertainment value from watching Mirna and Charla (I reveal this after I just posted on the relgious thread!) But I did NOT want them to win, "my friend." If I'd heard that phrase used by them one more time, I was going to start yelling at the TV.:pissed:
Amazing race is one of the best reality shows and I'm sad that it's over.

Ugh, both seasons they've been in, I've wanted to throttle her every time she did that; even made my kids crazy! By the end of this season, even Little Person was doing it, too! :pissed:
My two biggies of this season were--1) Please, please, please, please don't let Rob and Ambuh win (the night they got eliminated, I was doing an end zone dance, seriously) and 2) Please, please, please, please let Uchenna and Joyce win. Ah, well. The end of this race was disappointing to me because it was 3 teams in which I had no interest. But I still got to watch Phil every week, so it's not all bad. ;-)

Yep, we hung in 'til the end. Was the highlight of my Sunday nights! After Uchenna and Joyce were eliminated, I couldn't believe it, but I was rooting for the beauty queens. If you look back over the decisions on what detours to take, yielding Eric and Danielle and the way they worked together, they actually ran the race pretty intelligently.

Once it came down to the final three, I was voting for anyone BUT Charla and Mirna. They drove me nuts. Their accents drive me nuts, too! I was sick to my stomach when they got the better flight.

I'm ready to send in an audition tape. Don't you think a youth pastor and his wife would have a good chance of making it on the show?! ;-) The closest thing they've had (I think) are the "virgins" from a few seasons ago. Please, how could you label them that?!

Pea you crack me up. :clap_1: I did like Uchenna and Joyce alot too. I think Mirna was a piece of work, poor Charla. I don't know much about her of course but it's a wonder she didn't stab Mirna in the knee. Mirna was always using Charla for the reason they weren't doing well. When they were doing well, she made it clear it was because she had to worked so much harder to overcome having Charla as her partner. If I never hear her screechy little whine again it will be alright with me. Besides she was always looking to disadvatange other teams, but got mad if the other teams played that way.

On a funny note, and I hate to admit it, but I cracked up at Charla in the knight suit and then when she kept touching the GPS screen after the soldier told her repeatedly not too. Danny (or Oswald?) was right, she did look like a teletubbie at war. My favorite was the sight of her up on the table when they were flattening the dough. God help me, I'm going straight to hell.
