I thought the final show was the best yet of all the Seasons. The highlights for me:

1. Gladys night and the "Pips". First, "Midnight Train to Georgia" was my mothers favorite song of all time. She would call DJ's all the time to request that they play it for her. Everytime I hear it, I feel like she is right beside me. It is her way of saying that she is watching over me!!! My sister and I were on the phone watching "together". We loved it, and laughed so hard at the "Pips". It was too funny!!!!

2. I adore George Michael...I always have. Yes, the bathroom "thing" really upset me. But hopefully he learned from that mistake. He hasn't aged as gracefully as I wanted him to, but that is what drugs and alcohol abuse does to you. I hope he has his life straightened out now and can make a comeback at this late date. I also loved the song that he chose to sing. I just loved him.

3. Donna Summer is my HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love, love, love her. She still has it, and looks amazing IMHO!

4. Carrie Underwood is one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen in my life.

5. David Cook winning I was not surprised at all. I felt all along that he would be the most marketable of the two of them.

6. I really enjoyed the show and can't wait for January to do it all over again.

Jason! I think he was a little ahead of the music, but I was still moved by how his heart and soul pours out in that song. I loved that they cut to Melinda Doolittle with her reaction to his song!

My reaction to the whole apology and rewatching the videos? I think Simon purposely overpraised David A to get the Cook supporters mad and they voted that much harder! Simon's reaction seemed like he had planned the whole thing and he was estatic that he got the results he wanted!

David Cook is the best choice for the American Idol. Everything he sang tonight could be hits!

David A. will be fine I'm sure. He did a good job tonight too -I'm just not sure what his niche is on the radio!

:shock: Did anyone else notice how short Carrie's skirt/outfit was? I'm not complaining, but if you were in the pit in front of the stage you sure would have been able to give us the low down on her choice of underwear or lack thereof. She was definitely the best looking one on stage, and once again MJ was great.

Carrie's skin is flawless! She is beautiful! I didn't like the wings on her dress and I also thought it was a little short for the shots they were showing. Jordin's dress - unnuhh! Fashion mistake! The orange nailpolish - ugh.

The two prettiest people - Carrie and Jason! haha!

I still think Kristy Lee is underated. Even Chikezie had an awesome vocal!
Amanda was def. out of her element.

Funniest: David H. whispering "Naked", the Risky Business Guitar Hero commericals, The Pips! Robert Downey had moves that were so loose and flexible, bendable like Gumby! He danced the most like a real Pip! I was imagining him African American there for a minute!

The biggest star was supposed to be Robert Downey in a giant Ironman costume working his way across the stage but GM's song was so long that they ran out of time! I personally am glad he got to finsh. I loved the song.

Jason almost got burned when the pryotechnics (sp) were lit. They had not rehearsed with the fire, the heat was extemely intense, almost burned his dreads and back - you see him twirl away as soon as they are lit, while everyone else is standing still! I 'm looking for the video to post!

Yes! Leno's preview only said "American Idol winner" I guess they wrote that before they knew the winner? I'm still shocked that David A didn't win....like Simon, it didn't matter who won, to me. But I sincerely thought it would be DA. Poor kid, he must feel like he dissapointed his dad.
