Do you know what the surprise twist is going to be tonight?

gossip: two go home tonight -the bottom three will have to sing for their spot - judges pick who goes home.

The sing off sounds like the last day in Hollywood. It's probably a good twist for them, they get a bit more control to keep the talented singers longer.

Sometimes in the past it seemed more like a popularity contest where teenypoppers voted for the cute guy. (Or when people thought the favorite was "safe" and didn't vote.)

I like this idea. Too many capable performers have been sent home early in the past. M Johns is perfect example.

I don't want to see the judges pick who goes home. Their idea of who should win often don't mesh with who the American public likes best, and I seem them propping up mediocre judge's pets.

I agree. I hope they keep it every week.

True but look at what voting by the American public sometimes renders: David Cook.
