The twist is either a one time thing - the judges can only use this once a season- I guess this has been the format of the French American Idol, or it will be used like SYTYCD or X Factor, where the judges will choose who moves on in the earlier rounds, with ultimatley "the People" choosing with votes in the later rounds. I am not so sure votes really matter but I still do it.
