Interesting fact about Matt that blew me away - his grandfather was a Motown singer. When he was asked about any other singers in his family, he mentioned his grandpa but not who or what. I read yesterday about the Motown genes.
Next week is Country week - Randy Travis is the mentor and Carrie and Randy will be releasing a duet together on the show. No country singers in the top 11 - should be interesting!
I hope my mom comes on and reads this but did you guys just crack up at the CAW CAW at the end of Rocking Robin? It reminded me of this song my mom used to have in the 50's called Yo Ho the Crow!

Three years ago: I guess when he was 19 or 20, he was also co-writer. Low budget video, made at Western Michigan University but still is pretty dang good!

I'm surprised they waited this long to make the JT comment. I noticed that similarity when he first auditioned. When they get the pass to do whatever they want it might serve him well to sing a JT song. The judges won't like it, but the teeny bopper girls and some boys will vote like crazy.
swgb, yes on the jt. Matt said if he gets a chance, he will sing jt. Clearly, Matt is the best dancer of all of them. As far as marketability, I think he has the best chance. On iTunes, his I Wanna Move is one of the best dance songs I have heard!
I think he could be in trouble next week though because it is Country week - Grand Ole Opry country!
