I had the most funn ever!

So much to say! Paula is beautiful, Ryan smiled at me, I met Matt's dad and sister, Anoop's family sat in front of me - Terrie Seymour was across the aisle, a guy from Mad Men was there - don't watch, so I don't know. The new Fox bigwig, the faux judges and Matt was in the pimp spot and deserved it! Hearing it live, you can hear the wrong notes, the missed lyrics (several I could hear) ballads that were a little boring and the what the you know what performance of Adam. The girls screamed like crazy when he came out, it lasted for about a minute, then it was utterally silent. People had their mouths hanging open. Kylie got picked to be in the mosh pit and was up against the stage in the front row by the staircase the Idols come down. She said the girls looked shocked listening to Adam. It was weird. I would have liked it in another genre and back in the day when you know, it was the 70's.

Carrie and Randy sang Tuesday after the live show and it was shown taped last night. They showed Kylie when they did the audience sweep!

i was right behind Simon 4 rows up! My sign made EW online! LOL

DD, you had to check your cellphones outside before you were admitted into the studio. Sorry.

Simon has a lot of love - who knew?

No prob, SM. I know you woulda done it if you could have.
You know I really kinda like Simon and I think he was spot on with his comments for Adam. I'm glad it sounded just as weird in person as it did on TV.
How exciting for you!! And exciting for us to hear first hand from you--the scoop!!!:clap::clap:

Good for you! I was wondering if you made it to the show.

My husband is the epitome of appropriate behavior ... the antithesis of me. ;-) He doesn't use slang, rarely curses, etc.

On Sunday at church there was a soloist with whom we are not familiar. While she was singing, he leaned over to me and said, "Hey dog! Kinda pitchy. I don't know who you [sic meaning she] are."

I almost had to leave church because I was internally laughing so hard. BTW you won't get this if you don't watch American Idol.

I think Adam is the huge stand out in the crowd. You're right about Freddie Mercury. That's exactly who I thought of the first time I heard him sing. I don't like country music, so I thoroughly enjoyed Adam's rendition of "Ring of Fire." He's the star in my book. Let's see what happens tonight!

Good. I would rather listen to Obama than to the latest packaging of assembly line, force fed, pop drones, where the only aim is to make Simon Cowell and Company rich. American Idol is very sad.

This deep recession is changing opinions about unnatural, conspicuous consumption--the type evident in the American Idol "brand."

Sorry to be a downer on everyoned fun, but that is my opinion.

I was with some women on Sunday who all have pre-teen girls and every single one of their girls are nuts over Adam. They all voted for him. He can definitely sing.

I'm not so sure if I agree with you there, hnooe. Most of these kids have gone the route of voice lessons, auditions, minor performances in their churches, county fairs, etc. This is just the next step in this process. Most kids that can truly sing, take AI consideration seriously and are encouraged to participate.

I do agree with you that originally it was to make $$.

That's just it, it is funn. For some of us. It's a little one hour escape once or twice a week. It only lasts a few months and personally, I don't mind Simon making more $$. I do understand what you're saying and I totally respect your opinion, but don't hate us because we're shallow.

We are not shallow, we are easily entertained. :D
